A great programme , made all the better with a die hard petrol head as the front man.
He has a good manner with people through all walks of live...my son.

Come come Rick ..you would not want Brian Sewell as the holy than holy frontman.
Brian Johnson is a down to earth Geordie, also in a band called AC DC ( not the Osmonds ) I think he was quite tame.
Now on the other hand could you imagine Ossy Osborne fronting the show.
There would be more bleeps than commentary.

I tried to watch it this afternoon as a 'come down' after immersing myself in the LM 24hrs since yesterday. I forced myself to sit through the first programme (Bugatti) but gave up part way through the second (Lamborghini). Whether he was reading from a script, giving a piece to camera or interviewing someone he just annoyed me. I don't think it was his voice, accent or delivery, it was the whole lot combined; it just grated. Maybe I was simply tired after being awake since the small hours. _________________ David

They're just advertorials IMO. I can't watch them, but modern cars don't do much for me. Who needs a 200mph car to sit in a queue at 37mph, six cars back from a retard in a Pious or a Micra, which is Gloucestershire these days. |

The only programme I've seen was one about 8 litre bentley. Brian knows what he was talking about as he has a vintage Bentley, I think a 3 litre. Uses it as an every day car.
I like him. I like AC/DC too |

I believe his is a 4.5 litre Bentley and I agree with you that he's a lovely bloke in a superb band, but he skimps over the old stuff to eulogise over daft moderns. Mind you, you can get one of the 200mph Bentleys for under £30K now if you're feeling reckless, or a Shadow for peanuts. There's a reason though. |

Perhaps we would not like anyone on this forum fronting a classic car show.
This forum would be overheating with complaints.
Whoever it is, whatever it is ...to some it is just not cricket.
Next you will say John Arlott was rubbish.!!!
