Two 1-hr episodes of this new series are being shown tonight. Co-presented by Henry Cole (The Motorbike Show), it looks at automotive finds lurking in sheds and garages - sounds like it may have potential.

ITV4, tonight, 8pm-10pm

Enjoyable, but a shame they bypassed many interesting cars. Seems the presenters are only concerned with bikes, tractors and other paraphernalia.

Thanks for letting us know of this.
I found it entertaining although they often focused on items that would not have been my first choice.
One thing for sure: I would thoroughly enjoy a few hours rooting around in these places!

Agreed, it's a bit of a slow burner but the places they film at make it all worthwhile IMO Smile

The last place, where they bought the old Dennis mower from, looked fascinating.

It was just like watching The Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides. I guess that is the Henry Cole effect.

I say Bring back Robbie Coltrane! His series "Coltranes Planes and Automobiles" I really enjoyed.....

Bit slow going for me but always interesting to see inside other peoples sheds! Some of the automobilia was really good and rare but it was not even looked at. And to buy that lawn mower for £300 I thought was a bit silly but what do they expect buying from a dealer?

I thought it was quite good if a little bit slow with the presenters acting a bit like big kids.
Better than some and worse than others, maybe it will improve, some of the places visited were fascinating though.

I caught a few minutes of this, seemed to be very similar to "Salvage Hunter" - can we find a bargain and persuade the owner to sell it? Not necessarily bad as I enjoy SH, but I'm always a little put off stuff that's seems to be a version of something else. I should probably watch more of it before criticising, but it clashed with Big Bang Theory and an old Judge John Deed, so will have to look for other showings.

I watched most of the second one and thought it absolutely dreadful. What a pair of plonkers, paying daft sums for old mowers and other bits and losing money on them.

I'm hoping Top Gear ends up on Netflix. Wink

I liked it, neither presenter was shouty, or greasy (other than their hands, and there's no shame in that). They didn't make fantastic profits, and even admitted to a loss. I'll watch it again, the places they visited were fascinating. I don't think I be getting a guard rabbit though.

Was there anything of interest on last night's programme? I'd planned to watch it, but was out-voted Mad

I only caught the last 10 minutes of it, where they managed to start an old stationary engine inside Henry's garden shed,
and it almost shook itself down through the floor.....

beats watching Holby City Cool
