Going to try and post a few photos of the re-trim on the Chimaera, yes I know it's a 1995 but hay-ho.
I think we got there, will post the Plymouths later. _________________ Tom~~~~~~~~~ Follow the Dream |

My father had to remind me where exactly Haste Hill was, and recalled that when my Grandad was operating the Dairy in the town, he used to let one of his neighbours who worked at Haste Hill, take his Jowett Bradford van to work, loaded with lots of 1/4 pints of milk. This chap used to then do a mini milk round in the industrial estate as a way of repaying the use of the van every day!!
Happy Days. PS re trim looks amazing of course. |

Thanks for your kind words, to have a TVR re-trimmed in Blackpool by the people that used to work at the factory is approx 4K + fabric.
Lets move on to my 1933 Plymouth PDX Rumble Seat Coupe, built between 6/12th September in Detroit and shipped to Johannesburg, at some time it threw a cog in the gearbox which was removed and the car was left parked-up in the field. During 1970 it was spotted by an enthusiast while visiting friends, they lived 500 miles east in Durban.
In 2002 an Englishman while on a motorcycle rally heard about it and filled a container with 2 cars and an Austin Opel in bits. I noticed an eBay auction coming to an end and contacted the seller to email me after the end date if it was available, that was January 2012
When I purchased it most of parts were there, the body was mainly sound apart from the rear sill and back section of the boot floor, now have all the remaining parts, the body has been repaired and is being prepared for paint so watch this space _________________ Tom~~~~~~~~~ Follow the Dream

Hi Rick, what I will do is to give a brief introduction to my PE Pick-up which you particularly will find interesting being a Dodge follower and then start a new thread on the 33 PD which I have owned for 3 yes. _________________ Tom~~~~~~~~~ Follow the Dream |

Here's the 1934 PE Pick-up, because it's serial plate has been missing for the last 35 yrs + it's originality is unconfirmed, The Plymouth Owners Club has know of it's existence for almost 40 yrs. In 1986 it's title transfered to a man in Austin Texas and I purchased it from his widow, I found it on FaceBook in the POC page back last May and was interested in it's history. After numerous emails and photos come August it was mine, without a drivetrain, so with a lot of help from a friend in Tennessee he filled a crate 4 ft sq x 5 ft long, I should add there were some parts for the 33 PD that we collected to save on shipping. From Austin to Houston to Southampton to Devon, the picture story reads Waiting Collection Loaded for Houston Waiting for Crate Delivery to Devon Tow to neighbours Unit Partial strip down before going in container

Nice collection z5, have you any info at all on the Rhodesian Allard? I have not come across mention of one but I will ask around. There was an Allard K1 in Kenya.
