I struggle to get in and out of my sons Calibra. Too low slung for me. My grand daughter has a Honda ix35 which suits me fine. More and more manufacturers are making people carriers which suit us that are getting on a bit and of course young families. Anyone else feel the same. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Hi
I think the, what I call "cross over" cars are most convenient.
You have to get down into ordinary cars and climb up into people carriers, whereas the ones in the middle height range that are like a standard saloon but on steroids are easier all round.
ie
Megane Scenic
Fiesta Fusion
C-Max
S-Max
etc.
I point out to the private hire drivers, that I teach about working with people with disability, that those kinds of vehicles are more convenient for such customers, and they are possibly their biggest cohort of repeat business if they give a good service in an easily accessible vehicle. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

| We moved from a Grand-Am to a Dodge Journey. One major reason was ease of access. Higher off the ground and a more "sat up" position. The tailgate opens to a flat floor which makes loading and unloading easier. |

| I thought those quirky Renaults, the Vel Satis and the other oddly named sister car (yes, I forget that name...age, eh?) always looked accessible. I never rode in or drove one but they looked very upright and practical to my eyes. |
