Hi

Does anyone know of a register of C-Types? In the 60s the old Commer I retrieved from a Somerset barn, once carried a C-Type but as yet I don't know which one. It belonged at the time to driver Brian Croot.

I have the register book, "The C-type Register", compiled by Terry Larson at the beginning of the century. I have checked the history of every one of the cars listed and the name Brian Croot does not appear under any of the cars as a previous owner. I do though have a Jack Croul, but he purchased XKC 026 in 1996, possibly later than you were talking about. Of course, it may be that he didn't register it in his name or that the details have been lost in the winds of time, but sadly I can't be of any further help Rick.

I've now discovered that he didn't actually own it, just borrowed it whenever required. I'm now attempting to discover who actually owned it, and/or the registration of the car (if in fact it was road registered).
