Who on the forum is the oldest still driving and who has been driving the longest. I have been driving 51 years but I will be well short of the longest. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Hi
I'm 73, car test in Aug '59 and bike test in '63.
The 100 plus is on my bucket list, providing I'm fit to do it. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Off topic, but Rose Eaton is my hero. She raced "Black Beauty", their XK150, with her husband who died quite a few years back now. In 2007 she did a rally in the Alps with the car and then, saying the steering was getting bit hard for her, she sold the car to a friend. She was only 97 at the time and continued driving for some time after.. Last year, for her 105th, she took a helicopter ride for the first time. No idea what is planned for August this year! |

I'm 66 and took out my bike provisional 10th July 1965. I don't know when I passed the bike test but I had a full car licence in Dec 1966. So I guess I'm the same as Larry at 51 years motoring.

I'm almost 72. Passed motorcycle test in 1959 (Triumph Tiger Cub) and car in 1960 (Dad's Mk2 Consul). That gives me almost 56 years of driving.
