There must be quite a few OCC members who can remember 1952.

and over 23,000 days later.

What will the next 23,000 days bring ?

She's a good 'un is our Queen. She's had to tolerate some absolutely frightful politicians over the years too.

Long may she reign.

And Winston Churchill was the only MP to serve under Victoria and Elizabeth.

Dunno Rootes75, but I reckon that there is little chance of him challenging the Victoria/ElizabethII record Laughing

Hi
Edward VII was 67yrs and 168 days
Charles is 66 yrs and 300 days
Charles Birthday is just 5 days after that of Edward albeit 107 years apart, so if the Queen doesn't abdicate and makes it past 17th January 2016 then he will be.

I don't think any of the earlier monarchs reached old enough ages to have an older heir. Though true historians might know different.

No slight intended at all, but it does make me chuckle to see this discussion under General Motoring and other collectables. I've never owned a car that old.

I share the previous thought, if the Queen is not 'general motoring', is she a 'other collectable?'

The topic was introduced because of her years as Queen .
