Hi all,
Just read that the DVLA have changed the rules (again) and that any car registered as Historic can now have black/silver etc plates. It simplifies things I guess, but why anyone would want to fit black plates to a post 73 car I find difficult to understand. Surely if we're interested in preserving an old vehicle, the general aim is to have it looking as it was when new which means reflective plates. Even pre 73 it had become pretty much the norm by the time it was law to have reflective plates.
Maybe I'm missing something and its a wonderful thing to put black numberplates on a 1975 car, to me it would look a bit silly... _________________ cheers
