We haven't travelled there yet but have friends who have.
It is a "pickers" paradise and at first glance one may think a great source of older, classic cars.
There is however something about these cars that is not obvious to the casual observer. A great many of them are far removed from original and would fail today's testing standards by just viewing them across the street let alone on a ramp.

This is not to say there are not some bargains but perhaps only for those with knowledge.
This could very well be the last decade for many of them as I am sure increased tourism, industry and wealth will change Cuba. |
