My neighbour asked if I would give him some guidance in changing the brake pads on his truck.

One comment to me was "I never know how tight things should be, how do you know?"

OK, so putting torque wrenches to one side, I replied "how tight, is something that is acquired over time"

Then he asked what make s the bolt or nut tight ? so I suggested drinks on the deck was a better way to spend the afternoon.
