Have you ever bought a car, on the pretence of it being one thing, but later turning out to be something else?

The only time it happened to me, was when I bought what I thought was a Falcon Caribbean special, based on Triumph rather than the usual Ford sv running gear. The previous owner had bought it many years earlier, and was always under the impression that it was a Falcon.

Only after research following its purchase, did I discover that it was a Nickri bodyshell, at the time the only known surviving example of Nickri Champion (and maybe still).
