I can remember, back in the 1980's, when the 2.5% 30 day discount was quite common. Does it still exist today ?.

I am right in thinking that the discount taken was a farthing, (quarter of a penny) I can, just remember, farthings.

I wonder what the real cost of sending the second letter was.

Enquiries made suggest that the picture is Seddon/Plaxton but with artists licence changing the look somewhat.
Nobody has yet comeup with what actually did do these services.

Third of today's updates are three interesting photo additions from 1916, of a Delaunay-Belleville. First is outside the Cat and Fiddle pub nr Buxton, while the second it believed to be in the town.

My Grandparents had a white Mk2 Cortina just like that when I was a youngster. I remember many happy sunday trips out around the Mendips in it.
