Thank you. I have no recollection of ever knowing that!
Odd, considering I used to give piano recitals. Beethoven Sonatas were very popular. |

I haven't seen reference to that, but, it is reminiscent of a Spanish painter known as El Greco.

My father had a friend with a 1938-9 Standard 9 in grey DTU84 which was laid up during the war and was in excellent condition especially compared to her sisters Hillman Minx FMA644 which was a rust bucket which she had resprayed to cover up the rust but unsurprisingly it came through again pretty quickly. She then got rid of it.

I fully appreciate that to some people there is nothing more attractive than an old car - like that Morris Minor - with masses of patina...
...but to me, that red E type is simply gorgeous.  |

I wouldn't want to own a Minor but I really do fall for an oily rag car over a pristine restoration...

With respect, you say that now...but would you not have dismissed it as simply run down and tatty when smart ones could be seen on every street.? |
