My car has got leather gaiters on the leaf springs and covering some of the steering drop links and stuff. While under the car today doing another job it occurred to me that they sit out in the rain and spray and never get cleaned. So, would you treat them with dubbin or something to stop them rotting? can't hurt can it? |

I soaked our Landy's swivels leather gators with Vaseline. Still supple 10 years on _________________ Rover P2

Good idea didn't think of that! I used to take a good blob of Vaseline and rub it inside my football boots after I'd cleaned them... |
