Are there budding artists within these parts? Have you ever tried to draw your car, or maybe someone else's?

I drew my mother's two Talbots, but I don't think I have ever drawn any of my own cars:

Brilliant work, Mike—beautifully detailed and very professional. Spoked wheels must be a nightmare to draw with a passable degree of realism.

Good stuff Mike, as Richard says, getting the wheels right is a big factor in how well a drawing comes out. Even some of the pro artwork you see at shows etc, is often let down by wonky/out-of-scale/incorrectly-sized etc wheels.

You should be a professional artist Mike. Those drawings are absolutely superb. The shadows under the door handle and on the front tyres of AKM 47 really authenticates it.
And I totally agree with Rick and Richard's comments regarding the spoked wheels on GY 2272
Very, very well done!

Wire wheels are a nightmare, which is why I chickened out on the wheels on AKM 47; another trick is to have the front wheels turned on lock, so that front and back ellipses don't have to match Wink

If I tried to draw mine it would be an instant MOT failure! I have always regretted my inability to draw, but some can and I can't.
