About a year ago I decided to add an extension to my workshop primely to house machines like the lathe and milling machines, creating more space to work in the main workshop. I thought this would take me a couple of months to sort out Embarassed I'm almost there now Smile

One of the things I moved was the compressor, and I wanted to avoid long lengths of compressor hose running all over the place.....so the options were traditional iron fittings with steel pipe, soldered copper (normal plumbing stuff) or the John Guest push fit. I went for the latter (its the blue pipe)a tad skeptical but as it was JG hopeful! anyway it took me less than an hour to fit everything in the pics below and not the slightest hint of a leak Smile

Its more expensive than using soldered copper plumbing, but a dam sight quicker to fit.

Hi
What is the difference between the Blue and Grey outlets, do they give different pressures?

Neat work Dave, off topic slightly, but what are the light fittings you have used, they seem small but very bright. ? Thanks Steve

They are GX53 fittings, the bulbs are 240v available in fluorescent or led varieties, in different wattages. I used them because the extension is effectivly a lean to and I was restricted for height.

Cheers

I would drag the compressor out a bit to give you more room. Also if you do some serious drilling, the compressor will get covered in swarf.
