Managed to post something thanks to Badhuis!
Nothing not even remotely near your standard of resto on the Jensen but will have to do for now so I can use it whilst my children are still young. When the time comes it might get a proper resto done but till then I want to use it and abuse it! |

Great that you managed to get the pics online, always good to see pictures!
I like the Van - it is a Van isn't it? With side windows and rear bench fitted. Good to see the roof rack, and good to know it will get its steel wheels back.
Regarding restorations, I am not a big fan. Much more prefer cars to be a bit worn.
My Jensen may look good but in the eyes of concours judges it will be at the bottom of the line. There are many paint scratches and pits, same for the chrome, in fact everywhere.
When my TR4 had a respray 10 years ago or so (it had to be done) I was relieved when it had its first "paint defect". While the car still looks good today, and I plan to keep it like that, I do not mind that you can see it is still being used as opposed to be a garage queen. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Yes it was a van but was like this most of its life, so will stay like that, I am not bothered to return it to standard, infact the steel wheels will be going back on but with a difference! Will post pics when I have them ready |

Still got the minivan though with different seats, steering and wheels now.
Temporarily out of order due to the steering rod giving up on its splines !!
Might get to it this weekend though. |
