I can remember when my Father, and others would say. "Four Wheel Drive ? it will never happen on normal road cars" Mind you he was also wrong about Barnsley FC ever reaching the First Division.

I actually had on our lift in the garage many years ago.
A local trader who was quite keen on oddball stuff had got it at an auction and we were all keen to take a look underneath. I think it was ex Essex police. I thought it was a very well executed conversion.
Of course Ford went on to make a couple of 4WD production cars. |

| Lancashire Police had one looking worse for wear parked at their skid pan at Hutton when I did a driving course there 1977. |
