Me too!

I have to say that I thought that was quite difficult. I don't remember ever seeing one of these cars (although I must have seen photos) and I am very impressed!!

I couldn't help noticing similarities with the Mk11 Ford Consul.

Ray,

Simca had some sort of involvement with Ford in the 50-60s. I can't recall if they bought Ford France or the other way around. I know they used Ford V8s in some models.

I can remember a couple who would regularly visit the Garden Centre where I once worked having a Simca Aronde P60. As I helped fill the boot with their purchases, the gentleman would take the opportunity of extolling the virtues of his Simca. I must say, he knew what he liked and liked what he knew and I quickly grew to admire this French gem.

From what I remember, Simca bought out a failing Ford operation and it was the engine of the Aronde that powered the later Ariane shown above.

Definitely underrated cars.
