Good day all
I have this undying desire to put some auxiliary lighting on my cars but because I'm rather anal about these things they need to be of a type typical to the cars age so anyone any idea what a 1955 Hillman may have had and a 51 Lanchester?
Thanks |

I seem to remember those fog lamps with the blue projection over the bulb as very characteristic of the 1950s.

The Hillman is easy to deal with: the Lucas 576 range was available in the mid-fifties, and is widely available new (at a price!) or second-hand now. The Notek Blue Spot as suggested by Peter is another option, but they are not so common.
The Lanchester? Hmmm! I rather think you need a single large oval lamp - I think it might have been a Desmo, probably pre-war in origin - but I haven't seen one in years. |
