In Yorkshire on holiday this week, so went to Mathewsons museum yesterday.

Or rather tried to go in the museum.

Gave up waiting put my money back in my pocket and went elsewhere.

I had a similar experience yesterday as well. I was heading for the steam rally in Abergavenny but couldn't get near as the whole town was completely gridlocked. Took an hour and a quarter to get to a point that's normally half an hour away then after being stuck for 10 minutes without moving I gave up and turned round. To be fair to the organisers I doubt it was their doing as we've never had trouble going to this event before, more likely something to do with the incompetent local council Rolling Eyes

We had not originally planned on going to the museum so had not checked on the web site.

But driving past we saw the museum and called in, and did not see any signs saying it was closed.

Had not realised that it had changed from a museum to an auctioneers or we would not have wasted time finding somewhere to park and walking back.
