I don't remember the script on the front wings, though.I had a 1958 model in 1978 and that didn't have it. I couldn't read it in the film. Any idea what it was?

I think it just said "Rover" but I never remember seeing it on any production cars either.

In Film 3 the car at 5:23 (stopping) and 5:24 (driver getting out) is not the same car and doesn't stop in the same place. The first one doesn't appear to have the name on it. The "ROVER" badge appears on some of the factory equipment and as Peter S, suggested, likely didn't appear on production models.
