The block of my 1926 Dodge Brothers is probably going to need a rebore. Does anyone know of a reliable and reasonable place in the East Midlands?

Investigating piston slap I found that someone in the past has fitted pistons that are too small. In fact they are about .020 smaller than the smallest DB pistons available and combined with the bore wear the fit is very sloppy indeed. No wonder I had piston slap! Shocked

I would like to hear from anyone who has had satisfactory service from a machine shop in the East Midlands area.

Thanks.

Ray.

Thanks Ashley, I will make a note of them.

Also Phil; Cotterells are not far from me and they have been mentioned by someone else recently so that's promising.

I would like to hear if anyone else has a recommendation in the East Midlands area.

They did a lot of work on our Rover 16 head in 2011 - they do not need to advertise
