Does anyone know more about this distinctive Moggy? ISTR various mods had taken place under the bonnet, but the specifics I've forgotten.

Hi
That looks like a pair of Lowlight H/lamps as well as the later wings mounted ones.

I'd rather not know any more to be honest.

What was it's creator thinking about?

I've a feeling that there might be a Wolseley engine buried beneath that streamlined facade.

It looks like creative use of an old filing cabinet and a Vent-Axia outlet.

If there is, I hope it's a straight six otherwise the poor thing has been disfigured for nothing.

Certainly not pretty but the bonnet looks, to my eyes, quite well put together! it must have taken quite a bit of work.

1140cc points to it being OHV from a Wolseley Ten - hardly seems worth the effort, maybe it was a challenge based on what was to hand at the time?

Does anybody recognise the extra badge on the bonnet?

I'm not sure about the extra badge on the front. I first posted this picture after spotting the Moggy at a show, in 2013. I mention in this earlier thread that it had a 4/50 (presumably Wolseley) badge on the bootlid.

Apparently an XPAG engine

Here it is in 1960 in Inverness where it spend a long of its time, the number LLF 996 was transferred away at some point in time to another vehicle
