I know this will come in for abuse from some quarters, but has anyone seen this new entertainment programme? I say 'Entertainment' rather than motoring. I have watched it and must admit I really enjoyed it, and to quote one journalist, it really is a Turbo Charged Top Gear. Those 3 at their very best. Just my opinion.

I've not signed up to Prime, but from what I read it was well received. Maybe it'll pop up on "normal" TV sometime, who knows.

Putting aside the cost of all this, I just know that if we had Prime, Netflix, Sky, BT and so on, I'd get far less done in the garage (and everywhere else) than I do now. For the foreseeable, terrestrial + Freeview will have to suffice.

What do you think the insurance premiums would be for those three to drive the million pound cars in the 1st episode.

More than you or I can afford, I'm sure!

What amused me was that Ferrari apparently wouldn't road register the LaFerrari, because it would then be a second-hand car; so are they going to sell it to some unsuspecting 'first' owner as a brand new car even though it's been thrashed by the muppets?

I had a flick through episode 1, the filmed parts looked really good I thought. I wasn't particularly keen on this new studio/tent thing, it could be anywhere, I don't remember seeing anything that shouted motoring in there. With the sound turned down, I could have been watching anything for most of the studio segments, so I think there are improvements to be made in that regard.

Overall though, mostly quite entertaining TV.

The BBC must be grinding its teeth.
They have sucessfully killed a £multi-million revenue stream, £billions I read somewhere.
Watched all so far and the three are at it as usual, BUT with more vigour I think.
Entertainment at its best, so far.

Geoff - Progress with the Austin now at snails pace.

I haven't enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Top Gear when they presented it i.e. some segments were excellent, some not so good and some poor. Overall it's laddish humour with a motoring theme so OK with me.

I give it: 6/10 - room for improvement.

An old photo from the OCC archive section may well be featuring on the GT soon (not that I'll see it mind!!!).
