I have had an ad for Rover parts for my 26 9/20 on the local vintage club forum for some time now. A few days ago I got an email saying sender had some parts, what did I need. I responded tell me what you have, I will advise. He sent me a picture of a car he said he was breaking up, what did I need? The picture was from a set on Flickr of MY car from when it was for sale last year!
I advised he would have a lot of trouble breaking that one , as it was in my garage!
He uses the email address "eric53lawrence@gmail.com" , so beware of him, or similar scam attempts.

It makes you wonder what makes some people tick, sat at home thinking up scams like this. They need to find legitimate ways to make their money and not waste our time.

Well...The car is almost complete. Currently missing are period taillights, number plate bracket/frame - even pictures of correct taillights are hard to come by - one on the web looks like it has 48-49 P3 taillights . There is some woodwork for the hood bows, and the folding side irons for it, but none of the metal ends for the hood bows that mount it to the bodywork. There are some seat squabs, but I dont think they are correct - too narrow and low. I have spare wheel brackets and mounts (right side), and a spare engine with maggy, dynamo, starter, damaged gearbox.
The serious parts I need are really the taillights, seats, and hood metalwork.
Thanks
jp

Well, they probably see politicians getting away with it all the time and get to thinking that it must be an acceptable way to behave.

Hi
I get quite a few eMails from Ebay and PayPal tell ing me about a need to update info or queries about payments.
These I always forward to spoof@ whichever it purports to be, and then move it to my junk folder.
I always get a couple of replies from EB or PP the 1st thanking me for the forwarrd and the 2nd saying it is phishing.
They then get dumped next time I check my junk folder.

Had several phone call lately from some one claiming to be from the BT help desk, telling me my computer is corrupting BTs files and database, and asking me if I would turn on my computer and log onto an address they will send me??. Of course I didn't.
