Looks like a Morris 8 to me. Lancashire June 1936.

I wonder if the car on the left might be a 1932 Morris Major Coupe as in the left side of this photo. It looks like it might have Landau bars.

The Morris 10/4 Coupe also looks similar.

I did wonder about the car to the left being a Morris coupe of some description - the painted spare wheel cover may help id it.

Is it an old family photo nqtraderman?

No, it was posted on a forum about bygone times in the village I grew up in, Tarleton, Lancs and I was trying to get an idea of the age of it.

I do remember a Cleggs shop in the early '70's in Tarleton but the photo above is much earlier and was of a Cleggs shop in the next village, Hesketh Bank. It may have been the same person and they moved but who knows, it was well before my time !

Great work on the other car too, I wouldn't have had a clue, pre war cars are not my forte.

I wonder if it might be a 1904 Clément-Bayard AC2K

Peter

or a 20/24HP

Close, Peter; but I think you'll find it's a (Clement) Talbot. I would suggest around 1911-12, by which time the London company had dropped the Clement name.

Thanks Mike,

I confess I didn't look much further than the radiator. The 1911 Talbot looks a good match.

"A newspaper clipping from the Weekly Courier, 20 April 1911.
**Lieutenant James Boag, member of the Australian Volunteer Automobile Corps, brewery owner and retired artillery officer is in the passenger seat of 35hp Talbot car, Tasmania Military District Encampment, at Ross, Easter 1911**"

This looks similar ?
