Hi, My name is Roy and I am a new member, so please treat me gently if I get things a bit wrong! I own a 1935 MG PA reg. JD 6604 and am looking to find out any history I can about her. I know the first owner was a Mr AE Cissender of 2 Inglehurst gardens, Ilford in Essex, then the next thing I know is of a Mr John Tredell from Burgh le Marsh service station owning her in 1961, His son told me that his father paid £5 for her and bought her from a policeman in Boston Lincolnshire. The mileage is 5978 and I am wondering if this could be genuine as it would not be eligible for petrol rations during the war and it was in a lock up garage when Mr Tredell bought it. I bought the car in 1968 and she was only on the road for a short while before I stripped her down to do some work on her. Next year I want her back on the road as I will have owned her for 50 years! |

If you're able to scan the photos, email them over to me (same address as for joining the forum).

Easiest and best is to contact the M.G. owners club. Easy peasy.
Cheers, Tony. |

Hi
Re Trafficators; Ukdave 2002 may be able to help you if he still has some, or at least tell you what style and number they are and what else they fitted. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

The first thing I would suggest you do is register your car with the Triple M Register. The MMM Register caters for all MG overhead camshaft cars; Midget, Magna and Magnette built between 1929 and 1936. You will need to find your chassis and engine numbers and hopefully you will get a few leads to the history of your car.
Membership of the MG Car Club automatically gives you membership of the Triple M Register.

Many thanks Ray but she is registered withMMM club and they can only tell me what I already know. It's the period between 1938 and 1961 that I don't know about. Yours Roy |

Hi Peter
That's true, but I thought that would be enough of a clue. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
