Evening Gents,

The last 12 months there has been a gathering of automotive treasures at the Scotch Piper Inn in Lydiate, Merseyside every Monday night.

It is getting busier every week but it would be great to add more cars and enthusiasts.

There is no criteria or club to join, if it's old, interesting or both, get it down there! As you can see from the pictures it really is an eclectic mix of motors.

From 6:30pm every Monday evening, post code is L31 4HD.

We've had a great summer at the Scotch Piper Inn where we've seen such a diverse collection of cars and incredibly every week has seen a different mix. Thanks to everyone who's joined in with us this year, you've made Mondays great!
Clearly Summer is dwindling away now and many cars will be coming to the end of their road tax for the winter so why not make the most of what's left and join us tonight..
Scotch Piper Inn, Lydiate. L31 4HD from around 6.30.
The usual drinks plus tea and coffee. No club to join, no fees and no nonsense. Scotch Piper Classics... every Monday, summer and winter!

Updated with new meet up...
After our first Scotch Piper Classics Breakfast back in March, yesterday we enjoyed the last one of this year and it was brilliant. And the Fantastic news is that we'll be meeting up every third Sunday... AFTERNOON from 1.30pm at the Scotch from October 18th throughout the winter months with tea and coffee available! You'll find us on the field at the rear which will be clearly marked.

Thanks to everyone who's supported us over the summer. In the next few weeks/months most classics will be tucked safely away for the winter so please feel free to join us in your daily drivers.

Weekly Monday evenings at the Scotch are not affected and will carry on as usual throughout the winter, so see you tonight.. Scotch Piper Inn, Lydiate L31 4HD from around 6.30pm. No club to join, no fees and no nonsense.

Come on, make the most of this 'Indian Summer' while it lasts.
Scotch Piper Classics tonight from around 6.30pm.
We'll be at the Scotch in Lydiate, L314HD tonight and every Monday night, it looks like it'll be a nice evening so why not come along and join in the late summer fun. Gary Rothwell may well be attending with his 'fastest wheelie' bike to add to the already varied and interesting vehicles which usually turn up on dry evenings.
If you're interested in going to the Lea Gate American car, bike and truck gathering in Preston this Friday evening just ask around, we'll try to get a group of us there.

Morning all! Our Sunday afternoon meets are back underway today at the Scotch. I believe there is quite a few turning up already. There is a meet at the Corner House in Wrightington this morning so hopefully we may get a few turning up straight from there. If anything, today is a good excuse to give your car a post Winter shakedown run. Scotch Piper from 12:30pm.

What a difference a week or so makes weather wise, what a glorious afternoon it is! Safe to say we'll be getting back into the swing of things starting tonight and especially as the nights get lighter. Cars should start appearing between 6 and 7pm tonight. Don't forget that we have our lazy Sunday afternoon meet this week as well, details to follow.

Scotch Piper Lazy Sunday Afternoon meets happen every first and third Sunday of every month.

It now looks like we've finally waved goodbye to the cold weather and salty roads so if you live in the Merseyside/Wirral/West Lancs area, why not get the car out this Sunday and take a drive down? We are a very friendly bunch of petrolheads and there is always a wide, diverse array of cars on display from Leyland to Lamborghini.

So, this Sunday at the oldest pub in Lancashire, the Scotch Piper Inn in Lydiate, from 12:30pm. Postcode is L31 4HD. Please feel free to reply or PM me if you have any questions.

Hope to see some of you there!

Hi Will

Could you do me a favour pls and swap your avatar to something smaller, its girth is making it tricky to read your postings (especially on a mobile etc).

cheers, RJ

Well, after the usual Bank Holiday wash out yesterday it looks like the weather may behave after 3pm today. If Mother Nature decides to play ball why not round off the weekend tonight at the Scotch Piper from 6pm. Also with the clocks going back we now have the lighter evenings to look over the beautiful machinery on show. Postcode is L31 4HD.

Hi, Just a quick word on two events taking place in the near future.

Sunday 24th April is National Drive It Day. What we are proposing is a meet up at The Scotch followed by a short cruise to Southport, a drive up and down Lord Street, along the Promenade and then route back through Parbold, Ormskirk, Maghull and Lydiate before arriving back at The Scotch. We will meet up at 12pm for a 12:30 approx departure.

If you know of anyone who has a Classic Car but is not online, please invite them as they are more than welcome. Let's try and get as many of us taking part as possible, make this a sight to behold! 󾍇

With regards to the Vulcan Wings and Wheels event on Sunday, 19th June at Wellesbourne Airfield near Stratford upon Avon, I've been made aware that places are filling up quickly for this event. If you are interested in this you need to register your car. It only costs a fiver and all the proceeds go towards maintaining the Vulcan. The link for the booking form can be found on the event page, link below. Once again, anyone without access to the Internet is more than welcome but every car wanting to go has to register. Please be aware that this takes place on Fathers Day.

If there are a few of us we will sort out what to do with regards to travelling down there in the coming weeks. I will post updates on this on the dedicated event page which can be found here: https://m.facebook.com/events/1966606760232182?acontext=%7B%22ref%22%3A4%2C%22action_history%22%3A%22[%7B%5C%22surface%5C%22%3A%5C%22group%5C%22%2C%5C%22mechanism%5C%22%3A%5C%22main_list%5C%22%2C%5C%22extra_data%5C%22%3A[]%7D]%22%7D&aref=4&ref=bookmarks

Any questions please get in touch. We hope to see you at one or both of these events!

Don't forget kids, tomorrow is Scotch Sunday! Weather permitting, we'll be meeting up from 12:30pm. Hopefully we'll get a similar turn out to our March Sunday meet ups. Please share this among the Classic Car community and with anyone without access to the Internet. Postcode is L31 4HD.
