The seller has been forthright as to how this particular car has been built, but would you buy this?

I have admired the Ford Cortina Mk2 1600E for many years and still hanker after one but.............

The 1600E WAS unveiled at the 1967 Paris Motor Show and presumably was sold in France although my searching tonight cannot confirm this. If it was sold the lhd versions would have their own vehicle numbers which would be different to the right hand drive versions.
Quite a number of rhd 1600E's have been re-imported from Malta and Cyprus but they also would have their own identities as export 1600e's.

Do you see the dilemma?

Edit. the 1600E was sold in France in both 2 and 4 door versions.

That a lot of money to me.

My father has a Series 1 1600E, he's owned it since the early 70's. He traded his Mk1 GT in for it at our then local Ford agents.
