This is the second disappointing car program that I've watched today.
This program records the build of the 6 Lightweight E Types that were allocated chassis numbers but never built until now.

The whole program was spent on the bodywork. OK, that is the special part of the lightweight but it would also have been interesting to know how they sourced the mechanical parts and this appears to be the only program covering this expensive limited production run.

it is a repeat and i have watched it a few times to see what i missed.
not being a jag fan i hoped there would be more engineering in it.
the part i liked is when the lord whatever his name was said it would not be welcome at goodwood, well there's snobbery for you.
if you can afford one i doubt not being let into goodwood would be the least of your worries!

The trend seems to be to build a "supercar" and sell in small numbers to the super rich.

Presumably they will all sell, or have been sold, to overseas buyers, since it will not be possible to road-register them in the UK?

No doubt there would have been a substantial deposit required if you wanted to order one and production may not have begun until there were enough orders.

I suppose it all makes work for the working man to do?

Attaching the "limited edition" term to those supercars definitely excites the super rich.
