This does not appear to be a wiper motor since it has an exterior bearing casting on the output end.

What automobile could it have fit?

It's not marked...could be 6 volt ?

Vacuum pump for a diesel ?

It looks to me to be an early Jaguar E-type radiator fan motor made by Joseph Lucas. Lowdrag will know for sure.
