Not motoring but the VE day 75th anniversary will involve hundreds of wartime vehicles.
Our 1937 Hillman 80 has been requested to be used at multiple events that weekend. Its a case now of choosing which ones. My brother has a GMC truck and we quite often attend wartime events together. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

A quick Google came up with quite a few Rick. I suppose over here one biggie will be the 50th of the Range Rover, and the 50th of the Stag too. 70 years of the T2 VW? Or 40 years of the Quattro, 50 years of the SM or GS, 70 of the DB2. I'm sure people will be turning cartwheels over 50 years of the Bond Bug, but please forgive me if I forget that one, but 100 years of Mazda merits something, as do 50 years of the RS1600. For me of course it is 2021, and my name is already down for the rally to Geneva in March if it isn't too dear, which it probably will be. The 60th of the E-type, which will also tie in with the 50th of the V12 E-type too. |
