Packard in USA also made Merlin engines.
I saw crankshafts being forged at British Steel Corp. at their Salford works, for cars. One hit from billet to crankshaft!
I also worked on Griffin 57 engines a development of the Merlin, on Avro Shackleton MR3's. |
