Hi folks
From time to time, as long-termers will know, I post up something relating to old aircraft on OCC, whether on the main site, here on the forum, or on Youtube. As this happens, I'll update this thread.
Today I uploaded a slideshow of 140 original (mainly b&w) photos featuring prop-driven aircraft, both military and civilian. I've also included a stack of photos sent to me by a long-time correspondent, he began photographing aircraft in the 1950s and continued doing so ever since. His photos include snaps of gems such as Lockheed Constellations, DC-6s, DC-3s, a Blackburn Beverley, Viscounts, Vanguards, Fireflies, Spitfires, Hurricanes and many more. Some appear in low-res form on the classic aircraft site, but as I'll probably close that when its domain renewal comes up, future a/c material will be put onto OCC somewhere.
Mixed in with the photos are a few items of memorabilia relating to propliners and military types for added variety.
Anyway, this is the link: https://youtu.be/SyFWhcTaRBc
This will be followed shortly by a similar vid featuring early jets.
thanks, RJ. _________________ Rick - Admin

Hi
3:13 Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer.
Here is another picture with explanation of the wing tip devices, though this one shows them oriented 90 deg differently.

Indeed, the "twin pin".
I've also uploaded part 2, featuring original photos (1950s-1970s) of jets, military and civilian. Highlights include snaps of a Concorde prototype, various shots of DH Comets at work (including unique photos of Comet 2X G-ALYT with both original rectangular windows, and also several of the later revised shape), and military types such as Javelins, Meteors, Vampires, Vulcans and many more.
