Hi
my 1935 Morris 8 tourer sits higher from the passenger door back to the rear. a good 35 mm (metric sorry in NZ).
all the wheels measure up well , the distance from the top of the wheel to mud guard varies 35mm on Passenger side which makes me think body springs or shocks....
the back half of car is a 1974 below average rebuild so i am very suspicious of the coach work....
All the shackles have recently been renewed and its still the same, .
thoughts ?
Appreciate any help

My first check would be to measure axle to chassis at the centre of the spring on both sides. If that is the same, then I would assume that there is a twist in the body or, less likely, the chassis.
At least that measurement is a starting point _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

My Flat nose Cowley also had a list to one side. When I investigated i found that a previous owner had managed to assemble the back axle incorrectly to the springs. The axle is supposed to locate on a steel button that centralises it on both sides. He only managed to achieve this on one side which must have put all sorts of twisting stress on the assembly. |
