What I believe is a Belgian number plate 1970's. (Not my photo)

Why? Seems an ordinary UK number plate to me. B suffix so would point to 1964 I think. The left hand drive is strange but not impossible. I have heard of newly UK delivered LHD cars before.

Cannot recall Belgian number plates ever having this type of font.

Travelling in Belgium and France during the late 60's into 70's my Mini BHE167B was mistaken as being a Belgium Plate. There is also no Tax Disc displayed on the windscreen. It could, of course, come from neither Country. I agree, it is a typical UK font of that period and would originate from the Garden of England.

The background doesn't look to be too ''European'' to me? More like Africa, or the Antipodese?

No other photo that I know of.

Mulling over the photo, the car is very clean, it is also devoid of the paper stickers that appeared on vehicles when travelling on cross channel ferries. It doesn't have the yellow light deflectors and the headlight glass doesn't shout English.

Looks like it could be Africa to me somehow. I see this version of the Anglia was also built in South Africa until as late as 1968. I'm just wondering if this is a LHD version for an African market that drove on the right and used a plate style like the UK back then. Though it strikes me that the car is parked on the left side of the road, so who knows?

Since both vehicles seem to be driving on the left and the scenery is arid, I'd probably take a stab at South Africa, but the plates surely aren't from there. A conundrum.

In my "Glass's Index" AGX - B = London . Home Delivery Export Scheme. Issued June 64 - Sep 64. Not sure quite what the HDES is though.
Further information.
Home Delivery Export Scheme. A pink Registration Book marked RF 60
EX is issued for vehicles delivered under this scheme. If a vehicle is subsequently re registered in the UK a normal Registration Book is issued.

Interesting, thanks. I think my Belgium link can be eliminated.

I can only see one vehicle likewise. I can see what looks like a small group of pedestrians further along the road, I guess they might be cyclists but I see no sign of any other motor vehicle... Confused

Having just taken a closer look at the image I would say it was taken from a screenshot of a YouTube video. If you look along the bottom of the photo you can see the red line showing how far you're into the video.

The photo appears on several websites and also as a YouTube montage dealing with the changes in Afghanistan.
