That's spectacular! When The Motor tested the Morris Minor in 1951 the 0 to 50 mph time was 37 seconds.

Ironically, the 1948 the Morris 8 saloon (4 door) was offered with a 0 - 50 mph time of 28 seconds.!

I've seen a period road test of a brand new pre-war Morris Minor that reached 50mph in a little over 40 seconds. That's not too shabby 90-years-ago.
