Could anyone tell me if they have much info on how to chnage the advance curve on my ford anglia (e494a)?

Mine seems to either want to pull like a train at low speed or smooth at high speed but never both even when adjusting the timing countless times, having a distributor with very little wear and NOS springs, tried fitting an extra very weak spring along with both standard ones and this has improved running noticably (smoother and more power) but still not 100%. Usually I can get the timing sorted easily on newer fifties tuff like A30s and minors but cant with this!

Hope to hear back on others thoughts!

Thanks!
