I can only speak from my own experience. My Wolseley 2200 wedge was a delightful car to drive. It was by far the most comfortable car that I had driven.;in fact the rich velour seats were SO comfortable that it was a challenge to stay awake on a long journey!!

The basic Princess was not a bad car either, although the build quality left something to be desired. One always felt that BL had somehow spoilt the ship ...

One criticism of the wedge design was that there was no way of telling where the bonnet ended. I once bent the front bumper because I misjudged where the front ended. Perhaps the real bug bear of the car was that BL persisted with a boot when a hatch back would have been better.

The firm of Estate Agents that I worked for at the time also had a new Maxi which was far more practical for carrying "for sale" boards but that aside, my Wolseley was much more up market!
