I received the following request, surveying classic car ownership habits as part of an A-level school project.
---
Hi,
I am in 6th form in Oxfordshire, i am studying Media studies for one of my A
levels, My Media studies coursework task is to make the front and back page
of a magazine including a double page spread, so i have chosen to make in on
classic cars. In order to do this i need to conduct some consumer research
with a questionnaire. I have been looking for British classic car forums and
I have found yours, I’m not sure if your allowed but could you put a post
out on the forum so people reply to my questionnaire.
If so that would be great,
Thanks George Spalding

The date ranges given do suggest specifically "classic" cars but I just broadened it to include any old cars of interest.

Me too!
The project to make front and rear covers and a centre spread for a typical classic car magazine is too limited. The front cover seldom has any information and the back cover is usually just car adverts. A double spread is again just a photo with perhaps a small caption.
Having said that there were no "classic cars" when I took my A levels in English literature and English Language. I would have loved to write a thesis on Vintage and Veteran cars but there was no academic interest in them. |
