Hi all,

As anyone who frequents the OCC Youtube channel may have noticed, the Anglia & Minor replacement is a '50 Ford V8 Pilot. It's an older restoration and still holding up respectably although there are one or two jobs to do, as with anything like this.

I uploaded a walkaround vid and clips of it driving around earlier today, and I'll add in more info here shortly.

Well done Rick.

I keep uptodate on your youtube videos and she does look like a rather fine car.

I like it, and for myself I would be inclined to keep the wing mirrors - unless they vibrate too much to be useful. But if you did want to remove them, you can get polished "buttons" from Mini spares specialists that would likely do a nice job of blanking the holes in the wings - they're made as a bit of "bling" to replace plain rubber grommets that the factory placed in the unused wiper spindle holes, but they're useful for blanking all sorts of other holes, I used them a few years ago when I removed the useless and scruffy wing mirrors on my Herald.

Edit: those "buttons" have a stud on the back, and are secured from behind the panel using a nut and washer.

I notice mirrors are also fitted to the doors so perhaps the wing mirrors could be dispensed with if you wanted.

These are available through Car Builder Solutions and although they are stainless I imagine it would be possible- with careful polishing - to achieve a mirror finish.

That's interesting, I have some domed chrome bumper bolts which might also do the trick, depending on how big an area they need to cover.

If memory serves the Mini buttons are around an inch in diameter.
