| Hi people first post I drive a 1954 Devon van with a cusp ark ignition and a alternator in a dynamo case this puts out a steady 14volts will this voltage kill my coil and would the fitting of a ballast resistor help the coil is the original Lucas Thanks Tom |

Hi Tom & welcome
14V wont harm a 12v coil, leave it as is. If you fit a ballast resistor to a 12v coil the spark would be compromised.
