late brother bought a Mk 2 spitfire Ashley GT. started work stripping but sadly passed on before any serious work began. new owner has taken project on and intends to restore to historic racing status . seems it was car used in original Ashley catalogue and after being stored for over 20 years it had previously been owned from new. only changing owners when my brother bought it .then his wife had to register it . now passed on to a guy starting to strip and rebuild back to former glory. hopefully we can get pictures etc later and a final see of car when back on road.
