It's great to see a long term dealership buy back a car that is definitely worth dispaying. A cheap car to start with, immaculately kept. It deserves to sit pride of place in their showroom.
I have often wondered why Ford have not bought my brother's early 2000's Ford Focus back. My mother bought it new in Bunbury, the first Focus sold in the South-west of the State. On her passing it went to my brother who has used it as his daily driver ever since. He drives at dawn and sunset so has had many brushes with 'roos through forest country, on average bitumen roads. It has now covered almost 550,000km with no major component failure. Untouched engine, auto trans etc. A new fuel pump about ten years ago. It uses no oil, starts first time on the button, hot or cold. Looks a bit beaten up, but just goes and goes. And my brother is not a fanatic about regular servicing either....
I have never been a Ford lover, but this car has been incredible, and certainly a great example of Ford durability.

Its weird being the same age as old people.

Nice to see a business making the effort & expenditure to display such a fine car, they are to be congratulated.
Thanks for posting the article. _________________ 1987 classic Range Rover Vogue auto

A great many models have served me well since the 'sixties, all of them old & some even older than me. |
