As I'm sure most on this forum do, I take with a pinch of salt these recent dire warnings that we should be prepared for some sort of emergency where we may have to live off grid!
That said one of the items was a wind up radio, and that sort of thing interests me anyway, so I googled them, and have ended up purchasing one
Why?
Because from Amazon it is £1.28 delivered, which because of a promotion when I checked out reduced to 64p delivered!!!
I'll post a review when it arrives!

What an amazing find there, thank you.
Those 'dire' warnings are really about bringing the reluctant UK into the 21st century...and we are wahaaay behind the times in this regard compared to most of the rest of Europe...Scandinavian countries especially.
As a nation we are in fact far from being resilient to localised disasters.
Weather events, floods, collapsing national grids, not forgetting the hybrid war that is currently being raged against our population? What about a temporary collapse of Supermarket logistics?
Everything is controlled via tinternet these days..certainly all the essential services important to life.
What it is not about, is nuclear holocaust. That is unlikely to happen. _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

Interestingly since my order yesterday they have put the price up to £4.99, however it still applies a 50% discount to this on checkout.
However if you order 4 units the price drops to 10p for the 4 including delivery!
I have just ordered 20 , total cost 50p!
Be interesting to see if the honor the order!

I've been intending to list an old wind-up radio that my Mum bought years ago on the local freecycle groups, I think I'll hang on to it though I don't think it holds charge for all that long. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

If Trump and Putin start tossing nuclear weapons around, the wind up radio won't be much help!! _________________ 1938 Morris 8 Ser II Coupe Utility (Pickup)

That will not happen.
Same reason why it has not happened before.

Putin would just want us to be thoroughly fed up with things, and vote in a government that really likes to kowtow to Putin and his demands.....
Imagine, Putin insists all UK nationals drive nothing else but Ladas and the like?
Only the elite get to have Mercedes.... _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.
