I've owned 7 of them, am I interesting enough? Wink

I think Ringo's was a hatchback conversion, ahead of its time when you think about it.

Twiggy springs to mind in an Union Jack painted one, but it might have been a advertising campaign - its a looong time ago!

Hi

I wonder what the mini would have been like if it had developed over time into a hatchback, if it would actually look like Ringo's or would the shape have completeley changed? But would it then be a mini, or something else! Right my philosophy is now over for tonight anyway!

Cheers

buzzy - wasnt the MiniMetro effectively a (major) update of the Mini concept? ok it looked different, but underneath it had a lot of Mini design cues and parts!

shame it wasn't very well put together Confused

Hi

Yeah very true, I know which I would buy, so maybe moving forwards in design isn't allways a good idea. You don't see bareley any early mini metros now do you?

Cheers

yup miniMetros are fairly scarce now, can't say I'm too upset. Mum had a stage 2 MG-engined Metro years back, went quite well but still felt like you were driving a skip.

Hi

I swapped my yellow mini for a mini metro !! Was a good car, then unfortunately changed it for a mestro Crying or Very sad (bit of a walrus!!)

I’m sure Twiggy owned a mini, not sure what model though, there must be a picture of it out there somewhere! I found a good site that’s got lots of pictures of minis featured in films and tv shows - not so much famous owners but famous minis.

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=&model=Mini

Didn’t realise they’d featured in so many. There was even one in Phil Mitchell’s ‘Arches’ the other night in Eastenders Cool
