Hi everyone.
I am searching for anything to do with a "Beardmore" taxi as I have recently purchased one.
The main thing i want is literature, such as brochures,or any form of advertisments relative to the mk7 "Paramount" series.
Any thing you may have could be useful so please try to reply and help me if you can.
I would be very grateful......Billy

You asked me a question regarding your Beardmore Taxi in another thread, but I'm not sure if you've seen it - so just in case this is a copy (hope that's ok Admin. ).

We have a 1932 Beardmore Hyper exhibit in the museum and there is an associated object file but I can't remember what's in it. When I'm in the museum tomorrow I'll have a look and see what's what.
Since this post was originally written I've been to the object files and there's nothing in them that would be of use to you, they all relate to this early 1932 type. I did notice however that the Scottish Beardmore taxis stopped being built up here in 1933, with the manufacturing being shifted down south after that.

This one is exactly the same type, colour, etc, except ours is GW 2700.



Regarding records - have you tried the Glasgow University Business Archive in Thurso St, Glasgow?

I did a quick search in their "on-line" archive details for "Beardmore" and this is the result - happy reading.
