Does anyone here collect toy caravans?
I have a few which I've photo'd and put in below, but there must be plenty of others around?
First up is this tinplate lithographed caravan, measuring 5" or so. No sign of a maker's name but it says Caraholm on the door - is this a real manufacturer of caravans? It has the registration MTY3306 on the back, along with a 'reflective' T sign (for trailer). It has Made in Gt. Britain on the front too.
Next up is this weird caravan, again no maker but again a British toy and measuring 5" in length. It is cast from some alloy or other I think. It has some nice detail, and was found in a junk shop some years ago
Finally a pair of Lesney caravans, smaller at just 2.5" in length. They are a bit knocked about but came with some equally old (50s) toys from a charity shop in the early 90s. The dark painted one is apparently a Bluebird Dauphine according to the baseplate.
I don't actively go looking for toy caravans, these are just a few that I've stumbled across over the years
Anyone else have toy 'vans?
