Found this pic of a really early van the other day
E83W gurus will spot all the tell-tale signs of an early example - small headlamps, ring pull bonnet catches, no beaded edge to the wings, different rear arch profile, no bonnet badges, and the one hole grille (super rare nowadays).
This one looks like it has led a bit of a hard life, note the slightly bent grille and bald tyre. It also doesn't have a stainless grille trim - is it just missing, or did wartime vans have this omitted even when new? perhaps with blackout conditions in mind???

Hi
Nice picture, I just had an idea, if you are farming the bedford out for painting, get the ford van done at the same time! he he
I wonder where that van is now??????
